Richmond, VA — The Richmond Seen is proud to announce its official partnership with RVA Rap Elite, Richmond’s monthly battle rap platform showcasing more than thirty emcees per event and highlighting the competitive spirit and lyrical talent within the city’s Hip Hop scene.
As the Primary Media Partner for the 2026 season, The Richmond Seen will provide ongoing coverage of RVA Rap Elite events, including event recaps, artist features, interviews, and cultural storytelling designed to document the evolution leading the Richmond Hip Hop community.
The story of Radio B., founder of RVA Rap Elite and Eric Jackson, co-founder and Creative Director of The Richmond Seen, and now a Season 8 GM, dates back to Fall 2019 when their partnership, under the umbrella of Champion Brewing, provided a home for Southpaw and RVA Rap Elite early on, during a time when venues were difficult to secure for Hip Hop. Now in 2026, that foundation comes full circle as both platforms officially align to continue building and amplifying the Culture together.

Beginning this year, RVA Rap Elite will also host its events at Vagabond for the first time, marking a new chapter for the platform as it continues to grow its presence and audience.
“Partnerships like this matter, especially at a time when both artistic and journalistic integrity feel increasingly at risk. Hip-hop needs media that truly understands the culture and is committed to telling its stories authentically. That’s why this collaboration makes sense. The Richmond Seen reflects the same spirit and purpose that RVA Rap Elite was built on,” said Radio B.
Through this collaboration, audiences can expect expanded media experiences at every event, including on-site interviews, visual coverage, and exclusive content capturing the voices and personalities in the scene. The Richmond Seen will also host a dedicated section on TheRichmondSeen.com where subscribers can access all RVA Rap Elite coverage, score updates, and featured stories in one place.
The partnership runs through October 2026, with both organizations planning continued collaboration into the following year.
