Preme reigns supreme at Sanctioned 2; Roc Row protects his title

JACKSON WARD — It really is a battle. A hostile encounter. Not for the faint of heart. It’s a moment of fierce poetics soldiered by bravado, storylines and larger than life characters. On October 11th, Southpaw Battle Coalition presented Sanctioned 2, featuring battle rappers who had earned their spots on the card, facing off for title belts and higher rankings.
Last season, Ro$$etti held the World Title belt against Tson, while newly crowned winner of the River City Title belt, Roc Raw usurped it from Juanski, handing him his first league loss during May of this year.

This season finds Roc Raw exactly where he said he would be. Protecting his belt. With zero f—s to give.
During the Road to Sanctioned 2 face-off — which is set up like a press conference for opponents before their fight — Radio asked Roc Raw whether he was enthused about his challenger. Roc Raw’s response, “It’s nothing against him [Chef Tokin]. I’m just not enthused about any of this.”
Roc Raw doesn’t hold back his nonchalant attitude toward the battle, or his opponent.
“I don’t give a f—k about battle rap and I’m not gonna waste “a f—k” on him [Chef Tokin]. No. And I hope he wouldn’t waste one on me…that’s what happens when niggas battle me. They give all their f—ks, I don’t give any, and I’m still living.”
Time will tell what happens next, but the numbers on the board, held Roc Raw to a win.

Habeeb (left, red hat), versus opponent, Rel Lyfe (right, yellow hoodie)
While Just Cam came home with a win against Ten4Short, and Habeeb, despite his hiatus, and unwelcomed return by opponent Rel Lyfe, Habeeb won — proving he really could be one of the most dangerous in the league. Era Hardaway took home a win against Tson, who though gained the applause, and reaction of the crowd during multiple shots at Hardaway’s past performances, wasn’t enough to shake Hardaway’s stealth.

But the showdown of the night happened when Preme handed Ro$$etti a loss for the World Title Belt, making Preme Southpaw’s new World Champion.
In a recent post on Radio B.’s Instagram, an older clip during a face off between Preme and Hardaway, shows that Preme has been itching at the moment to battle Radio B. In response, Radio posts, “I got a little bit of time in December…what do ya say? No belt on the line… for the culture.”
Anticipation is high for the confirmed battle between veteran emcee Radio B. and newly crowned Southpaw World Champion Preme, scheduled for Saturday, December 13.
