“I feel like my job is to be a light,” NameBrand shares. “Whether it’s through beats, conversations, or creating spaces for other producers, it’s about being a positive presence.

"Saturday Morning" originated from NameBrand's early days of staying up late on Fridays, downloading samples from platforms like Napster and LimeWire, and spending the following mornings putting it all together. Some of us remember those times all too well. This ritual became a cornerstone of his creative process, leading to the inception of the series. When he first started, it served as a means to pay homage to his childhood, to that Black boy joy, but also to share his work with a broader audience, using the platform as a digital resume for his production style.

Over time, since 2010, the series evolved. Recognizing the importance of consistency and quality, NameBrand began collaborating with a videographer, releasing episodes monthly or bi-monthly. This shift allowed him to maintain a steady presence while balancing other commitments. The series not only highlights his production but also offers insights into his creative process, making it a source of inspiration for aspiring producers.

Beyond "Saturday Morning," NameBrand's commitment to nurturing talent is evident through a like the Producers Lounge. This platform provides a space for producers to share their work, receive feedback, and build connections, reflecting his dedication to uplifting the music community.
