JACKSON WARD — If anyone deserves a place to call home, it’s All City Art Club. After years of pushing art initiatives across Richmond, founders Chris Visions and Silly Genius are finally setting down roots on Grace Street, nestled between Vinyl Conflict and Godfrey’s. “We’re really excited. We have the building for two years through collaboration with a grant program,” they shared.
The location, not yet named, will serve as a community hub for artists; a space for consistent creative practice. Open to young artists and creatives across mediums; DJing, canvas art, street art, and beyond. It’s designed to be a place where people can practice, experiment, and collaborate freely.
For years, ACAC events like Dilla’s Deli have moved from space to space. Grace Street changes that, giving the collective a permanent home base and a consistent vibe centered around their style and vision.

During our visit, the artists shared their renovation plans. “Once we have a Pantone set and get rid of the weird fake brick wall, we’ll be pretty much ready to go,” Chris explained. Silly pointed to the back of the space, which will house a gift shop and store, while upstairs they hope to create a permanent DJ space. The building itself carries character with its wood floors, open layout, and even a non-functioning but stylish elevator.
The official christening of the space will take place on Halloween night with an MF DOOM-inspired event. “It’s gonna be crazy down here!” Chris said with a smile. Expect DJs, food, and art installations. The duo is already collaborating with Vinyl Conflict, lining up artists, and printing flyers designed by Silly himself.
Looking ahead, their goal is longevity when asked what’s next after the two years. “Hopefully to stay. It’s a great location. We’re right in the arts district,” Chris said. With this foundation, ACAC plans to roll out quarterly, yearly, and bi-yearly programming to solidify themselves as a consistent arts hub in Richmond. As Silly put it, this new space will “solidify and grease the wheel” of their movement after years of shifting locations.
